After a week of rain leading up to the wedding I was so glad when the clouds opened and we had a such a beautiful sunny day at Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa in Cheshire. I am used to shooting in cold and often adverse weather conditions which offers great photo opporuntunites as well which you would not get on a perfect day.

For every wedding I always visit the venue before hand to seek out locations that will help provide backgrounds to really help your images sing! Normally I always request 30 mins along with you both to take in many locations and provide you with plenty of variation, so please bear that in mind when you are doing the timings.

Thankyou again to Vicki and Pete for a great day and going with my crazy ideas at least we didnt have to dodge any golf balls!

I met up with Peter and Sharon for a quick pre wedding session in the rather lovely Sefton Park in Liverpool. I have never been there before but found some really nice locations and look forward to returning there very soon.

Things have been very busy here lately and had very little time to post more shots from the ‘Rock the Frock’ session after posting a sneaky peak below.

I realise these images may not have been processed to my normal style but remember you don’t necessarily have to have an album of images you can have a large print framed etc. I am very much about images with drama, strength and confidence and I think a few of the images below would look great on a wall as a massive framed print.

Rock the frock, trash the dress, wedding shoot

Recently did a Rock the Frock session on the beach over at Lytham St Annes and he are just 4 images as a little sneaky peek. I have 4 wedding dresses (Size 10 and 14) if you are interested in a rock the frock session and would fit in one of these sized dresses then please get in touch.

I took the opportunity to shoot Lisa in regular clothes as well and tried to balance a decent mix of lifestyle images and fashion. Here are some of my favourites from the shoot and it was so windy it played havoc with my hair.

These shots are a mixture of off camera flash and natural light.

This image is probably my favourite of the bunch.

A little different processing on this image because I can plus a little fun with the expression and pose.

This was taken through the gap in the planks.

I have worked with Lisa on a few occassions but not on a bridal shoot, she is alot of fun and gives evrything 100%. I will be doing another shoot once again very soon in a new location but here as promised are some more images from the session.

With so many changes in my life recently I have finally found time to do a shoot I’ve wanted to for years. Get a wedding dress, one woman/bride and take her to a great location and create some superb images. I always offer this to couples as a post wedding shoot (FOR FREE) but many do not take me up on it .

So if I have shot your wedding or fancy just having a go at rocking your frock please get in touch, I have plenty of ideas just bursting to come out.

Very overcast day but thankfully the rain managed to hold off while we headed round Dunham Massey for a pre wedding session. Becky & Gaz are a great couple and the venue provided some great backdrops and very much looking go back to there very soon.

I am always looking for something different and upon arriving early at Dunham Massey I decided to have a root round and see what I could find, I found a great wheat field with a track running through the middle and decided to save this area till last and it provided some of the best images from the day, the first below is  one of my favs.

Last weekend saw me have two pre wedding sessions and here is the first taken in some areas around Winsford, we managed to visit some great locations including some  woodland, a lake and a church as a great backdrop.

Pete and Vicky are getting married in July and here are some of my personal favourites from the session. They are a great couple and very relaxed in showing their love in front of camera, thanks guys.

Had a great time last week shooting these crazy pair in beautiful sunshine around Manchester. I shot in some new locations and visited some old ones I favour. Below are some of my favourites from the shoot.

It was Dave’s first shoot and he was great but I am shooting Becca next week on 1-1 which should be great.
