Last week saw me manage to grab one of the last remaining places on the Cherish the dress workshop with well respected photographers Damien Lovegrove and Chris Hanley. The whole concept is very much about creating stunning imagery and making the dress the star! Many may have heard of trash the dress which I am a fan of so if there are any brides out there that wish to shoot on the beach or on location then please get in contact as I have some great locations in mind.

Once the workshop is over then the creative element of post processing comes into play to really help make the images sing. Here are some of my favourite shots from the day because for me photography is very much about personality, passion and expression and I think I managed to capture some tender moments and some natural laughter between Lisa and Shaun.

Here are some of my favourites from this morning’s shoot in Manchester city centre with Lisa. I did plan to walk further into the city centre but Lisa had brought her whole wardrobe (I’m not kidding) which made even walking a major undertaking. Hopefully I will get chance to seek out some new locations and Lisa can bring all her clothes in her purse

Update 1st May 58 images from the entire shoot have been posted here. The model will now choose her favourite images, I will process them and post the CD off.

Last weekend found me back in the Hilton Hotel in Manchester after a great shoot recently with Dean Murphy. This time it was Alice’s turn and like all my shoots I’m always looking for a new angle, something fresh that other photographers may have missed. This is very much the outlook I have with weddings and creating something very unique that the couple will just love!

I had a portrait shoot recently in the rather luxurious Hilton Hotel (Deansgate) with local Jazz singer Dean Murphy. At first he was a little nervous but soon got into the swing of things and started to show his infectious personality and passion for performing. We shot in Cloud23 and the light just floods in making it a joy, we managed to get a good variety of shots completed.

A pre wedding shoot is included with wedding packages I and II. This 90 minute session is shot on location and will provide you with a good understanding how I work and get used to being photographed. The experience is very informal with a big focus on having fun so please get in touch.

How about you come into Manchester or Liverpool for a pre wedding shoot then spending the rest of the afternoon shopping? (I don’t think the guys will be thanking me for that one)

Finally after weeks of work I have completed my new look wedding/portrait site. There is larger focus on the number of images included and this is helped by the way it was designed horizontally. Many sites today are in portrait format but I wanted to reflect my ethos when shooting weddings and create something a little different.

Here are some of my favourite images from a recent shoot in Manchester. Thanks to Alice for putting up with the cold weather!

This slideshow contains images from several model shoots I shot last year on location in and around Manchester and Liverpool. I particulary like areas of urban decay and backgrounds with texture that really help to add some character to the shot and make the image pop off the page.

What an exciting year 2009 was, it was just incredible. I would just like to thank all the Bride and Grooms who entrusted me with capturing their special day. It was great to see so many couples up for trying something different and having the confidence and trust in me to produce something really special on their wedding day.

There were so many complementary comments before, after and during weddings but here are just a few that sum up nicely what I am about:

I have produced a slideshow below displaying some of the very best images I have captured from real weddings during 2009.
